     The Neptune™ multi-purpose beacon is a multi function signal light developed to provide the soldier with several ID and illumination tools in one compact package. The Neptune light produces a wide, variable-output, flashing or constant on, visible or infrared signal. In flashing IR mode, the intense brightness of the Neptune’s signal allows it to be used as either an individual or vehicle Combat ID marker. In visible signal mode, the beacon can be used as either a land or water distress signal. The Neptune is available in two different configurations;
Blue, Infrared & White (902900), or Red, Infrared & White (902901)The Neptune high impact plastic housing and sealed electronics are engineered to withstand harsh environments and chemical exposure. Powered by one CR123A, the Neptune is lightweight, rugged, versatile and submersible to 150 feet making the beacon superbly suited for water to land deployment and special operations applications. Despite its small size, all Neptune functions can be controlled with one hand even when gloved. The Neptune’s signal is turned ON or OFF simply by rotating the battery cap. The single mode selection button allows the user to select light color and move between flashing or constant on signal mode. Brightness level can also be adjusted in constant on mode, making the light useful as either a signaling device or lamp.

The Neptune can be attached to PALS webbing, belts, or uniform or wrist mounted with the included wrist strap. Locking Spring Clip included. The Neptune™ P/N: 902900/902901 is an extremely rugged and low-cost marker beacon. It is used in conjunction with Night Vision Goggles (NVG’s) and other Night Vision Devices (NVD’s), at night, as a covert position marker. Like the Phoenix Jr., the Neptune  was designed as a combat identification marker to minimize fratricide (the inadvertent killing of friendly forces, by friendly forces), and has been widely fielded by American and coalition forces for combat identification. The Neptune™ beacon has many uses in combat and other covert operations for marking personnel, vehicles, safe pathways, or locations. It incorporates a flash rate that was specified to prevent confusion with small arms-fire. Use the Neptune to identify friendly force positions, demarcation lines or perimeters.

Phoenix JR 123 beacon was principally designed as an individual Combat Identification marker employed to minimize fratricide (the inadvertent destruction of battle field assets by friendly forces.) It can also been used as a vehicle ID marker, drop zone indicator and perimeter marker. Designed with the same functionality as the Phoenix JR it has been equipped with a spring clip for easy attachment to belts, straps, clothing and equipment. Designed to use a CR123 Battery, the JR123 is 50% smaller and lighter than the Phoenix JR. When not in use, the CR123 battery can be stored within the unit by installing the battery upside-down.

Phoenix JR 123 and the war on terrorism. Since its introduction in 1984, the Phoenix JR (Firefly) beacon has become the world standard for covert signaling and electronic combat identification of military, law enforcement, SWAT and homeland security assets. It has been utilized by American and coalition forces for combat identification in theatres of operation such as Kosovo, Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq. These beacons have multiple uses in combat and other operations for marking personnel, vehicles, pathways and locations. They incorporate a flash rate that was specified to prevent confusion with small arms fire.

Simple, ultra rugged personnel, equipment and/or area marker

The PHOENIX 1.5 IS A PROGRAMMABLE BEACON. It is used as a covert marker and signaling device where precise identification of personnel, equipment and locations is needed. Users can easily install unique signals for individual identification. Signal is input by using a coin or any metal object to close the gap between the two pins on top of the beacon. Removing the battery deletes the stored code.

An internal six (6) second memory will accept a field installed flash (Morse Code-like) signal that the operator programs via the two programming pins. Miniature indicator lights within the device will flash the pattern as it is being recorded by the user to confirm the code being stored. During operation, the user can reactivate the miniature indicator lights at anytime allowing the operator to confirm the broadcast code in situations where their own night vision equipment has become lost or damaged.

SPECIAL FORCES OFTEN RENDEZVOUS WITH INDIGENOUS FORCES AT NIGHT. These rendezvous are generally preplanned and usually done without benefit of radio or voice communications.

Pre-Planned codes, transmitted by the covert  Phoenix 1.5 Beacon allow for precise identification of the friendly forces.

The PHOENIX 1.5 IS A USER PROGRAMMABLE BEACON. With a coin or similar metallic device, the user can tap in a Morse Code-like signal up to six-seconds in length. Subminiature light emitting diodes (LED) inside the beacon indicate the code as it is installed and  tell when the memory is full. These same LED’s provide confirmation of both operation and the installed code. To confirm operation, short and hold the two pins while observing the LED’s. They will repeat the operating code.

OPTION DESCRIPTION
902611 Vehicle Auxiliary Power Supply (VAPS or VPAK)

IR BEACONS OPERATE ON THE TIP OF ANTENNAS FOR DAYS. The US Army and others use infrared (IR) beacons attached to the tip of the vehicular antenna for combat identification. For years, they detached and replaced the battery every other day to assure continued operation. The new VPAK-1 takes power from any vehicle or DC power source (10V to 35V) by means of the flying lead cable. The VPAK-1 has integrated surge protection; protecting the installed beacon from voltage surges associated with engine start-up.

DURING NIGHT CONVOY OPERATIONS, IN HOSTILE TERRITORY it is prudent to mark the vehicles with combat identifiers. The most common are the Phoenix, Phoenix Jr. and Pegasus Beacons. Those provide effective IR signaling that is readily identified by Night Vision devices (NVD) equipped support elements. From the air, cover aircraft can easily identify an IR-marked convoy at ranges out to five miles . The marking aids convoy integrity and tracking of a vehicle that may stray from the group.

902801 Poseidon Mounting Clip for Phoenix/Pegasus Series beacons

Operating Depth: The Poseidon — Phoenix / Pegasus Mounting Clip (902801) provides a water tight casing for the beacon and battery assembly. If immersed without the Poseidon case, the unit will continue to operate until the contacts fail due to water and electrolytic corrosion. Given these conditions the depth limitation is solely determined by the battery’s ability to withstand depth.

Lightweight, durable, ecologically friendly, battery powered chem-light replacement tool.

  • 4.6″ Total Length
  • Flexible

The FlexLight-Stick™ is the most universal, and unique light stick on the market today. With its unique flexible end, the FlexLight-Stick can be folded during storage or use. When gearing up, or on mission, it is far too easy to bend and inadvertently activate traditional chemical-sticks making them useless when needed later. The FlexLight-Stick can be bent, twisted or trampled and with a twist of the end cap, the FlexLight-Stick turns on when needed—not before. The FlexLight-Stick uses a long-life replaceable battery, so fewer are needed for mission. Replacing chemical-sticks with a reusable FlexLight-Stick can add up to a significant cost savings at the end of the year.

907517XX FlexLight Stick 12 29 14 3 thumbFlexLight-Stick’s are offered in numerous colors including infrared and ultraviolet. The color-coded end cap allows the user to quickly identify the light color. The squared off eyelet attachment point allows the FlexLight Stick to be attached using 550 cord, or Zip-Tie’s to MOLLE, Packs, Vests and nearly anything else you want.
